Ventilation
Ventilation

Ventilation entails air circulation and replacement, with the purpose of removing heat, humidity, particles, smoke, smells and bacteria. Ventilation is essential to keeping the desired/required indoor air quality in your building.

Mechanical/forced ventilation

We design mechanical ventilation systems for active air circulation using various fans, depending on the intensity of excess humidity, odors, and contaminants, and the purpose of the area.

Natural ventilation

Natural ventilation uses the indoor/outdoor air pressure differential. This differential generates a force driving air circulation without the use of fans or other mechanical systems.

We create natural ventilation designs using a number of openings or aperture types (such as inlets or chimneys) of different size, located at the right height (including on the roof). These air exchange devices can be electrically powered for convenience and automation.

Since there are no mechanical components, natural ventilation has low operating costs. In certain situations, however, it is insufficient to keep the building occupants comfortable. The former is true especially in very humid or warm climates. In this case, we recommend you air conditioning systems.

Divide and ventilate

Air distribution can be planned in such a way as not to allow smells/contaminants from different areas to mix up. This is of utmost importance in hospitals (to curb the spread of deseases), restaurants (to neutralise smells from the kitchen) and laboratories (to provide a controlled environment for experiments).

Purification and soundproofing

Are you especially discriminate with regards to indoor air quality? Do your manufacturing processes require clean air? In this case, we offer you ventilation systems that remove airborne particles using HEPA filters, cyclons, as wells as scrubbers and water-based filtration systems.

Moreover, soundproofing can be applied to the recycled air using silencing ventilation ducts. This practically mutes the unwanted noise from the mechanical ventilation components.

Natural and interesting

Traditional houses in Andalusia (Andalucía), Spain, use natural ventilation. They are painted white, to reflect sun radiation, and have small windows, to keep heat out. This allows the interior to remain cool even when the exterior temperature is high.
